 How much does SBS Income Tax charge for tax services?

A short form begins at $275* and a long form (those who itemize) begins at $400*.

Direct deposit and electronic filing are included in this fee. 

Rentals and businesses may incur additional fees.

How long does it take for me to receive my refund?

Once your return has been electronically filed and accepted by the IRS, your refund can be received anywhere between 14 and 21 working days depending on if you chose direct deposit or 21 to 30 business days if a paper check is mailed to you.

Direct deposit is faster than having a check mailed to your address. 

SBS or IRS do not guarantee a specific date that a refund will be deposited into a taxpayer's financial institution account or mailed.

Why is my refund less this year?

You need to make a comparison between this year's tax return and last year's tax return.

For the federal return, locate your taxable income, total tax, and total payments for each year. 

A larger taxable income and/or smaller total payments would result in a smaller refund. 

The amount of total credits will also change your refund.
